Back in May of this year, I had the opportunity to go and visit the BBCOS manufacturing facility in Turin, Italy. While there, BBCOS showed our team and trained us on all the fantastic new systems they have been working on like the new EMPHASIS targeted solutions range and my new favorite LAMALLAR. However, they also listened to our needs. As a stylist myself, White Meches 10 Volume was a top priority for me and my salon professional community. I’ve been coloring hair for over 20 years and when I was first introduced to White Meches Blue Violet Developers, it was a no brainer - why haven’t we had these all along?

WHEN TO USE WHITE MECHES 10 VOLUME
The White Meches 10 Volume developer is a fantastic addition to the White Meches blue violet activator range. I love to use with the Innovation Evo permanent color system when deposit is required and I am looking to achieve maximum coolness. For example, when a client says they’re looking for a “mushroom brown” or when the client ALWAYS pulls warmth, I would use this 10 Volume in my formulation.
HOW TO FORMULATE
No matter what I am mixing the White Meches 10 Volume with, I will always refer to the manufacture’s ratio mixing recommendation. When I’m formulating with Innovation Evo color my ratio remains 1:1.5. When mixing with ANY lightener I would mix 1:2.
WHY YOU NEED WHITE MECHES 10 VOLUME
For a colorist, having multiple developer options and not just volumes, is truly a game changer to create the ultimate end result. If I have a client who constantly pulls warm and wants to see a cooler shade, I would switch her to the White Meches 10 Volume developer. Knowing as a colorist, that I can adjust developers to achieve a specific result, adjust volumes and also counteract warm lift was an “AH HA” moment for me!
TECHNIQUES, TRICKS & TIPS
For the majority of my grey coverage, I use a 10 Volume developer. I also have a lot of guests who request grey coverage with highlights. For this, Innovation Evo and White Meches Cream lightener work well together in a time saving wet-on-wet technique that allows me to place the highlights right over the top of the wet hair color processing on the root. I get FANTASTIC grey coverage when I mix Innovation Evo with 10 Volume and now, I have options in my 10 Volume developer choice.
Protip: Mixing White Meches Cream Lightener & White Meches 10 Volume is the perfect combination to achieve beautiful Caramel shades just in time for the Fall!
